Catholic Charities’ hope is to become even better partners with the parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago in our common mission to serve God’s poor. We have seven regional offices in Cook and Lake Counties that can provide volunteer opportunities for parish groups, help parish congregations learn about Catholic Charities’ services and needs, and address social service concerns of parishes.
Every parish can benefit from partnering with Catholic Charities.

Parish Outreach Committee
As a supplement to our regional offices, in 2004, Catholic Charities began an initiative called the Parish Outreach Program. A committee of parish partners was formed to further the goals of the program. The committee exists to build bridges between parishes and Catholic Charities by increasing awareness of services provided and fostering mutuality in service of each other and God’s poor. A call was sent out to parishes and to date over 100 parishes have joined the committee.
- Respond to needs articulated by many pastors, social concerns ministers, teachers and other parish representatives for opportunities to get involved in the mission of Charity by providing “hands-on” projects for their youth groups, confirmation classes, social justice, and other committees to tackle.
