The Office of Latino Affairs (OLA) facilitates collaboration between Catholic Charities, local parishes and the Latino community. External collaborations reach beyond the Archdiocese of Chicago to include Cáritas of the Archdiocese of Mexico City, academic think tanks, the Latin American Consular Corps, and other public and private agencies that assist the Latino immigrant population. Among its objectives, OLA will help constitute a Latino Advisory Committee that will augment our friend raising efforts. In recognition of the ever growing Latino population, Catholic Charities will continue its tradition of welcoming and accompanying waves of immigrants by providing culturally sensitive services.
