Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago's Board of Advisors is a separately incorporated, legal entity composed of more than 500 unpaid lay members appointed by the Archbishop of Chicago. As new situations and different needs have arisen over the past 90 years, the Board itself has adapted to assist Catholic Charities in meeting those needs.
Board members play important, active roles in the services Catholic Charities is able to provide. Members with expertise in many different areas serve on standing committees, which have been formed to address specific issues or tasks, such as long-range planning or community development and outreach.
