The Legal Lifelines for Those in Need Cocktail Party is the sole fundraiser for Catholic Charities Legal Assistance program (CCLA). This center began as a volunteer initiative in 2005 to assist the Catholic Charities' clients who may find themselves confronted with legal issues that threaten core elements of their existence, yet they cannot afford an attorney. Today the Center is staffed with attorneys and volunteers who face increased demands for their services. Over 2,100 clients were given advice in 2009 or matched with pro bono attorneys and linked to other resources. To continue to serve these individuals CCLA needs your support.
