American Red Cross Family Caregiving Presentations

Through nine different modules, these presentations provide excellent information for caregivers.

Upcoming Red Cross Modules: "Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia AND Assisting with Personal Care"

The Red Cross developed nine modules to be presented to caregivers on various topics. The first one to be presented on this day is "Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia AND Assisting with Personal Care". This module will provide information to help the caregiver better understand how to deal with common behaviors associated with Alzheimer's or Dementia., providing care including daily activities such as bathing and eating and understand the effects of being a caregiver for someone with the disease. The second half will cover "Assisting with Personal Care." This section will cover techniques for assisting someone with mouth care, grooming, dressing and undressing, bathing and toileting.
