Helping Hands Dinner & Auction

The Southwest Regional Advisory Board presents the 14th Annual Helping Hands Dinner & Auction on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 6:30pm. The 2012 theme is "All Irish, All Night" and will feature entertainment by "3 Men in Kilts", Aislinn Gagliardi and the Cross Keys School of Irish Dance. The event is being held in a new venue this year, Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park and benefits Catholic Charities New Hope Housing Program, assisting the homeless in the Southwest suburbs. Reservations are $70.00 per person if made by April 6th and $80.00 per person if made after April 6th. Reservations can be made by calling Betty Chambers at (708) 430-0428.

"The 8th Wonder of the World" Tour of the Sanfilippo Estate

The 23rd Annual Hearts for Homeless Families Dinner & Auction returns to the incomparable Sanfilippo Estate, in Barrington Hills on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Proceeds from the event benefit the New Hope Apartments Transitional Housing Program. Individual reservations are $175 and tables of ten are $1,650. Guests will enjoy what some call "The 8th Wonder of the World," as the estate features world famous collections of antique music, arcade and gambling machines. Premier display items include an 8,000 pipe theatre organ, the beautifully restored 1890 European Eden Palais Carousel, and an 1881 Grant Railroad Steam Locomotive. A Day at the Races at Arlington Park

The North Regional Advisory Board will present "A Day at the Races at Arlington Park", benefiting Emergency Services. The event promises to be a great afternoon of food, refreshments and wire-to-wire excitement! The event will be held in the spacious International Room, which offers outstanding views of the homestretch and the finish line. The event begins at noon and post time is at 1:00 pm. Catholic Charities' South Region celebrated its 8th Annual "Compassion in Action" Benefit Dinner-Dance at Calumet Country Club in Homewood on Saturday, November 5, 2011.

Sponsored by Catholic Charities' South Region Advisory Board, the "Compassion in Action Dinner Dance," raised over $13,000 to support the Emergency Services in the South suburbs and was attended by over 150 people.

The Wynstone Golf Club Holiday Tea & Boutique benefiting Catholic Charities of Lake County will be held at the Wynstone Golf Club in North Barrington. The event promises to be a great day of high tea, workshops and holiday shopping. Spend the day supporting a great cause which begins at 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
