- Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)Children eat a nutritious meal while serving themselves and improving their motor skills.
- Congregate MealsSeniors gather together to share a meal, enjoy each other's company as well as a friendly game of bingo at the Josephine P. Argento Center
- Emergency Assistance Food PantriesA family comes to our pantry after Dad has lost his job to obtain emergency food, and leave with more options for assistance, having been able to apply for SNAP.
- Evening Supper ProgramsWhether he gets a hot meal at the supper or a food package, a local veteran leaves the supper with a smile because he knows that tonight he won't go hungry.
- Home Delivered Meals/Meals on WheelsA homebound senior is provided a hot nutritious meal, and for a little while, does not feel lonely after interacting with our meal driver.
- Lunch-n-More Catering and Food Service EnterpriseNew staff and youth workers are trained on basic job skills in order to prepare meals for seniors and children.
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)At Catholic Charities offices throughout Cook and Lake counties, clients are able to determine their eligibility for food stamps to help stretch their budgets.
- Senior Farmer's MarketA senior uses her coupons to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at the local Farmer's Market.
- Senior, Mother & Child Nutrition Program (SMCNP)Seniors shares healthy recipes with each other that they have made using their monthly commodities.
- Summer Lunch ProgramA child learns the importance of washing his hands before eating his healthy lunch, which he may not have otherwise had during the summer.
- WIC Farmer's MarketYoung mothers learn how to prepare delicious recipes using in-season vegetables like eggplant, zucchini and squash.
- Women, Infant & Children Nutrition Program (WIC)A mother shops for food for her family and attends a demonstration on preparing nutritious meals while her two children participate in a food experience in the Kiddie Corral.
