On August 28^th, Catholic Charities’ New Hope Apartments (NHA) program celebrated the success of over 60 “graduates” of this transitional housing program. The “Success Day” celebration was held at St. Ailbe Church at 9015 S. Harper, Chicago. Over two dozen of the graduates and their families attended, along with NHA staff from the North/Northwest, South, City, and West offices and many volunteers.  Balloons and colorful table coverings set a festive tone. Each graduate received roses, and a framed certificate presented by her NHA caseworker. An exciting raffle and light luncheon followed the ceremony.

Catholic Charities’ Golf Outing will take place Wednesday, September 22, at the Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. The course is known for its challenging and unique links-style golf.  The $250 per person, or $1000 per foursome reservation includes: full lunch buffet from 11:15 to 12:15 pm, use of the driving range and three putting greens, Florida Scramble with a 12:30 shotgun start, beverage cart, six holes of contests, two hole-in-one car prizes, three hour open bar, buffet dinner, auction items and awards.

Golfers seeking a great afternoon of camaraderie on a beautiful course, all for a good cause, are invited to attend the 10^th Annual “Brighter Futures” Golf Outing, benefitting homeless families in western Cook County.
