Award-winning “Backpack Beds” for Homeless to be Distributed Today
WHO: Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago welcomes Tony Clark, founder of the nonprofit organizations Swags for Homeless and Backpack Bed.

Designed in Australia by husband and wife team Tony and Lisa Clark, the lifesaving Backpack Bed has won five global product design awards over the last two years including the Edison Award for Social Impact and the prestigious German Red Dot award.

Local Diaper Banks Partner With The National Diaper Bank Network To Bring 1,000,000 Diapers To Cook And Lake Counties Two local diapers banks are joining forces to bring 1,000,000 diapers to families throughout Cook and Lake Counties over the next two years. Bundle of Joy Diaper Bank of Chicago currently collects and distributes diapers to low-income families throughout Chicago and surrounding Cook County. The Diaper Depot, a project of Catholic Charities Lake County Services, provides diaper collection and distribution throughout Lake County. Together, the two diaper banks serve over 40 area food pantries and social service agencies that supply diapers to low-income families.

Catholic Charities' St. Patrick's Day Party Raises over $30,000 for West Suburban Homeless
On Thursday, March 7^th, Catholic Charities West Regional Advisory Board hosted its 10th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party Fundraiser at FitzGerald’s, 6615 Roosevelt Road in Berwyn. More than 280 people attended the event, which raised over $30,000 for Catholic Charities’ New Hope Housing Program in West Cook County.
