Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago Partners with MyPlate Initiative Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago has partnered with MyPlate, an initiative reminding Americans to eat healthy foods utilizing an easy to recognize visual, a plate divided into the five food groups. Along with First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign, MyPlate is an added tool to increase awareness for healthy eating and portion control, especially for children, where obesity is a major concern.

Caridades Católicas de la Arquidiócesis de Chicago en Asociación con la Iniciativa MiPlato Caridades Católicas de la Arquidiócesis de Chicago se ha asociado con MiPlato, una iniciativa recordándonos a comer alimentos saludables utilizando un visual fácil de reconocer, un plato dividido entre los cinco grupos de alimentos. Catholic Charities Chosen to Manage and Operate Statewide Foreclosure Prevention Helpline As part of the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s new Illinois Foreclosure Prevention Network (IFPN), Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago has been chosen to manage and operate a statewide helpline that will refer an anticipated 400+ callers a day to housing counselors or other foreclosure resources. -

Third Annual Chi-Town Jazz Festival to Raise Funds for Catholic Charities Fight Against Hunger The 2012 Chi-Town Jazz Festival (CJTF) will take place March 7 – 11. This year marks the charitable event’s third and establishes it as a bona fide annual festival. The resounding success of CTJF’s inaugural and sophomore years has, yet again, inspired the Chicago jazz community to come together for a common cause: Chicago-area hunger relief.
