Chicago-Barbara Brown of Chicago's Englewood community was honored with Catholic Charities' Employee Recognition Award on February 13, 2009. The award, given to three staff per quarter, includes a $500 bonus and a paid day off.

Love was in the air during lunchtime at the Bishop Edwin M. Conway Residence, when 4^th Graders from St. John Berchman's School delivered a giant Valentine card they made for the seniors who live there. Each resident also received an individual Valentine card and a visit with the lively group of children. Bishop Conway Residence is Catholic Charities' supportive living facility at 1900 N. Karlov.  

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, one of 18 charities to benefit from the Chicago Auto Show’s First Look for Charity, one of Chicago’s largest single-day charity events, participated as a beneficiary of the event on February 12, 2009.
