Chicago Shares, an Nonprofit Food Voucher Program, Donates $5,000 to Catholic CharitiesOn June 24th Catholic Charities was honored to accept a $5,000 donation from Chicago Shares to assist in the many services Catholic Charities provides to the poor.
Chicago Shares is a unique, nonprofit, nondenominational organization that is helping to feed the hungry with the assistance of merchants, churches, synagogues and a team of volunteers. Chicago Shares provides voucher coupons that can be given to persons in need. -

Catholic Charities Expands Summer Lunch Program to Feed More City Children Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago launched its summer lunch program for children on June 14 at over 100 sites across Chicago. The agency has more than doubled its feeding sites from last year, and expects to produce over 8,000 breakfast and lunch meals in the 12 weeks that the program will operate.
