Holy Family Villa to Host Inaugural Dinner on March 21, 2010

Holy Family Villa Nursing Home in Palos Park will host its Inaugural Dinner to benefit the residence on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Gaelic Park, 6119 W. 147th Street in Oak Forest.  A highlight of the event will be the bestowal of the Inaugural “Caritas Sanctae Familiae” (Love of Holy Family) Award on Father John A. Kuzinskas, resident Chaplain of Holy Family Villa, and a priest of the Archdiocese of Chicago for 57 years.   

The Inaugural Dinner will begin with cocktails at 3 p.m., followed by dinner at 4 p.m.  Individual tickets are available at $100 per personProceeds from the event will contribute to the expansion of Holy Family Villa to meet the ever-growing needs of seniors in the community.

Rebuilt and operated by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago since 2001, Holy Family Villa is home to 99 residents.  For these seniors who are unable to live alone, Catholic Charities provides a fully licensed nursing home with a round-the-clock nursing staff.  The home offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social services, pastoral care and nutritious meals. It has a wide variety of social and recreational activities for each level of care.

Holy Family Villa is located in the Southwest Suburbs at Will-Cook and McCarthy (123rd Street) Roads, occupying the same spacious campus as the St. Francis of Assisi Residence for seniors, Bishop Timothy J. Lyne Residence for Retired Archdiocesan Priests, and the Poor Clare Monastery of the Immaculate Conception.

Holy Family Villa was founded in 1947 by the Lithuanian Catholic community to provide a home for the aging.  Today, in a new structure, this mission is continued and administered by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago for seniors of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds.  Holy Family Villa is generously supported by family and friends.
