Come out and enjoy the 18^th Annual Charities Golf Classic on Monday, July 23 at the Knollwood Club in Lake Forest and Shoreacres Club in Lake Bluff; two of North Shore’s most popular golf courses. Long-time Lake Forest residents Charley and Ellie Clarke will be this year’s honorary chairs.

After golf, guests (nongolfers are welcome to the evening activities) will enjoy a live and silent auction featuring outstanding items such as:  

• a seven day stay in a scenic mountain retreat in Telluride
• Skybox tickets for the Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds game
• and a photo shoot for six at John Reilly Photography in Chicago, including a limo and dinner at the famed RPM Italian Restaurant

Under the guidance of the Operating Chairs for the event, John Brinckerhoff, Scott Roberts and Mike Hoch (event founder), the Golf Classic has raised over $1.5 million since its inception and is a significant part of the fundraising activities for Catholic Charities Lake County Services. 

Catholic Charities Programs in Lake County that benefit from the event include: Children and Family Services (adoption and maternity counseling); Community Casework (Emergency Assistance, Food Pantry, Housing/Budget Counseling and HIV/AIDS Case Management); Samaritan House transitional shelter, Family Self-Sufficiency Program, SAFE Housing, Senior Services (Meals on Wheels and Senior Dining Sites).
