Each year, Catholic Charities Lake County Services provides support to low-income families in Lake County by collecting and distributing donated school supplies. Last year, over 350 families received supplies to help their children prepare for success in school. The supplies are distributed to families who participate in several Catholic Charities programs and children in the community at-large.
Here’s how you can help:
- Organize a school supply drive in your community
- Collect supplies from your family, friends or neighbors
- Donate a backpack filled with supplies
All supplies should be delivered, no later than August 10th, to Catholic Charities, located at 671 S. Lewis Ave. in Waukegan, Illinois between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. All questions pertaining to this project should be referred to the Project Coordinator, Laurel Wimpffen, (847) 782-4126 or lwimpffen@catholiccharities.net
