Kick Up Your Boots at the Catholic Charities Lake County Women’s Board Fundraiser January 31

Chicago, IL – The Catholic Charities Lake County Women’s Board is kicking up its boots at its annual winter fundraiser on Friday, January 31.  The western-themed event is the Women’s Board kick-off party for its annual spring Art of Caring event, which raises money for Catholic Charities Lake County programs.

Guests are encouraged to come in their favorite cowboy attire, boots, denim and cowboy hats.  The event features live country music, dancing, a cash bar and western food themed buffet.

“We’re hoping that more than 100 people attend this year’s event,” said event co-chair Barb Kelner.

“Our goal is to raise awareness about Catholic Charities and all its programming in Lake County,” echoed co-chair Kitty Picchietti. “We want to get everyone excited for the May 17 Art of Caring, now in its 25th year.”

Raffle prizes include four box seats to a Cubs game, four tickets to a Bulls game, a bourbon-themed gift basket, tickets to the Lyric Opera’s Sound of Music, jewelry and more! Raffle tickets are $20 each or 3 for $50.
