Through Partnership We Succeed
Catholic Charities’ hope is to become even better partners with the parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago in our common mission to serve God’s poor. We have seven regional offices that can provide volunteer opportunities for parish groups, help parish congregations learn about Catholic Charities’ services and needs, and address social service concerns of parishes.

Parish Outreach Committee
As a supplement to our regional offices, in 2004, Catholic Charities started a program called Parish Outreach Committee. The committee exists to build bridges between parishes and Catholic Charities by increasing awareness of services provided and fostering mutuality in service of each other and God’s poor. A call was sent out to parishes and to date 58 parishes have joined the committee.
Purpose:- Respond to needs articulated by many pastors, social concerns ministers, teachers and other parish representatives for opportunities to get involved in the mission of Charity by providing “hands-on” projects for their youth groups, confirmation classes, social justice, and other committees to tackle.
- Learn how Catholic Charities can be of better help to parishioners in need
- Serve as a forum for exchange and collaboration to foster familiarity with the services the agency offers.
Our parish representatives have reported “Parish outreach is a way for us to reach out to a broader “parish community”, “I learn so much about Catholic Charities and the great work of other parishes in the county” “What a natural partnership, I feel like I am making a difference”
