2008-2009 Report: The Impact of Catholic Charities

Spirit Magazine

Spirit Magazine is published four times yearly in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago for its friends, clients and benefactors. The publication is intended to educate donors about the work of Catholic Charities. In addition, the magazine provides a forum for Catholic Charities to keep the public abreast of developments and changes within the agency.

Keenager News

Keenager News is a free monthly paper for senior citizens, containing news, opinion, human interest, how-to, and travel articles, along with humor, puzzles, and recipes. Our "Readers' Corner" provides a forum for readers' own reminiscences, and poems. Keenager News is published as an outreach ministry of Catholic Charities, a non-profit, social service organization that helps people of all faiths.

Catholic Charities has endeavored to be a voice for the people we serve by preparing a yearly paper on issues such as housing, the working poor and hunger.

Promoting a Culture of Life for the Common Good (2009)

In a time of great economic challenges, Catholic Charities speaks for the vulnerable and the weak. The existence of extreme poverty amidst plenty is a threat to the good of society. We call upon individuals and society to strive with hope towards a culture of life.

The Impact of Catholic Charities (2008)

At least one in eight people who live anywhere from the Wisconsin border to the Indiana state line were positively impacted by the services provided locally by Catholic Charities. We must meet the growing demand for services and strengthen the economy by developing a self sufficient population with human dignity.
