Masters-level, licensed counselors provide professional counseling services for children, youth and families experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, behavioral, educational, mental health or family problems. Counselors have expertise in providing counseling for children/youth/families involved in the child welfare system, child/youth victims of sexual abuse and trauma, as well as youth with sexually problematic behaviors. Limited Spanish-speaking staff hours available. Evening and Saturday appointments available in some locations. Services are primarily provided at 651 W. Lake Street in Chicago, and at Catholic Charities' regional offices in Des Plaines, Cicero, South Holland, and Worth.

Professional counseling for individuals, couples, and families with emotional, behavioral and relationship or family problems, marital or pre-marital problems. The program also provides the following: psycho-educational groups, classes and presentations; pre-marital compatibility assessment; crisis/trauma de-briefing to community agencies and businesses; organizational consultation to other agencies, parishes and businesses. Evening and Saturday appointments available in some locations. Services are provided at 641 W. Lake Street in Chicago, and at Catholic Charities' regional offices in Des Plaines, Cicero, Mundelein, South Holland and Worth and various parish locations.

CFSC provides outreach mental health services for children and adolescents ages 3-17. Services are primarily based in elementary schools and day care centers located in the near West Side, community area 28. Children must have Medicaid, Kid Care or no insurance coverage and reside in community area 28 (i.e., zip codes 60607 and 60612). Services include assessment, treatment planning, individual, family and group therapy, consultation, and case management. Spanish-speaking staff are available. CFSC also provides mental health consultation services to several Catholic Charities Head Start sites.

Provides professional counseling and case management services to families and individuals who are experiencing a wide range of social and personal problems. These problems may include: homelessness, family violence, substance abuse and addiction, sexual abuse, a trauma such as suicide, family issues related to aging parents, homicide, disability, illness such as HIV, incest, parent-child issues and other problems that affect the family's or individual's ability to cope. Services may be one or a combination of the following: responding to a crisis, referral to a needed service, help with accessing services and benefits, advocacy, help with developing a plan of action and following through, money management, professional counseling and family therapy. Spanish-speaking staff are available.

LOSS is a self-help support group for those who are grieving a death by suicide of a family member or close friend. LOSS utilizes the experiences of veteran members as group facilitators coupled with the support and understanding of trained clinicians to assist new members. LOSS offers monthly support groups for adults throughout Cook, Lake, Will and DuPage counties, eight-session groups and individual counseling in various sites, individual counseling and a monthly newsletter.
