Counseling on an individual or family/group basis for adults 18 or older affected with alcohol/drug related problems; information and referral to appropriate resources; outpatient counseling for recovering addicts and alcoholics and/or their families; educational/informational community presentations. ACES is licensed by the State of Illinois Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse to treat substance abuse. ACES is licensed to do Level One and Level Two counseling on a individual and/or group setting. Medicaid is accepted. Services are available in Spanish.

Alcohol and Drug Assessment Services (ADAS) — located within the Cook County Court Districts, this program evaluates driving under the influence (DUI) offenders referred by the Cook County Court, the Illinois Secretary of State's Office as well as out of county state/jurisdictions. Professional assessments are conducted to determine the individuals' level of impairment and subsequent risk to public safety. Following the assessment, recommendations are made to the individual and to the court. Services are provided in the client's primary language.

Alcohol and Drug Screening Services (ADSS) — Toxicology testing services to determine illicit drug use. A six-panel drug screen is used and other assays may be incorporated depending on the needs of the referral source. Current referral sources include the Circuit Court of Cook County, private sector entities and affiliated programs at Catholic Charities involved in drug-free workplace environments or upon court order. Locations include Bridgeview, Chicago, Maywood, Rolling Meadows, Markham and Skokie.

Drug Prevention Program

Trains and educates individuals and groups in the field of prevention and early intervention. The program provides substance abuse education and programming in schools, churches, organizations and community groups. Training, workshops and in-services are designed for all ages.

The Forever Free Program

Provides a healthy, drug-free, residential environment for women and women with children who are recovering from alcohol and substance abuse.

Provides a safe and structured environment for the residents and children. Length of stay is approximately six to nine months.

(Transitional Housing) - Provides full case management for the residents that have transferred from Phase I. Residents may stay up to twelve months.

(Community and Supportive Housing) - Provides rental assistance in scattered-site apartments in the community along with furnishings and case management services.

Provides a transitional housing program in an alcohol/drug free environment for men, giving priority to veterans. Most residents are homeless due to alcoholism and drug addiction. The facility provides 40 private rooms in a building located on the Veterans Administration campus. The programming includes structured days, balanced meals in a communal dining area, rehabilitative work training, individual counseling, recovery groups, holistic education, pre-employment training, employment opportunities including assistance with resumes and job placement, and assistance with permanent housing placement. Minimal rent is charged. Veterans are required to have completed an inpatient treatment program or had a successful period of sobriety.
