The Spirit of Saint Nicholas Ball is a 21-year-old tradition that raises money for Catholic Charities' Children's Programs.

The Spirit of Saint Nicholas Ball benefits more than 228,000 children who receive assistance from Catholic Charities each year.

The programs which are helping to meet the needs of children include:

• Emergency service centers
• Transitional family housing programs
• Teen parenting centers and maternity services programs
• Early childhood development
• Day care and after-school programs
• Counseling

Tens of thousands of other children, as well as expectant mothers, participate in Catholic Charities food and nutrition education programs.
