A Message from Rev. Michael M. Boland, Administrator, President and CEO of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago

In the wake of the deadly earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago sends its prayers and support to all of the victims of this disaster and their families. First responders from many aid organizations, including Catholic Relief Services, are trying to help the people cope with massive casualties and the thousands of victims in need of immediate medical attention.

On Wednesday, January 20, our chaplain, Rev. Gerard Kelly, will dedicate our daily Mass in the St. Louise de Marillac Chapel at 721 N. LaSalle to the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. I invite all of you to worship together in solidarity with the people of Haiti and pray for their safety and well being.

Should anyone wish to donate to the relief efforts in Haiti, they may send donations to Catholic Relief Services. They should make their checks payable to Catholic Relief Services, and put “Haiti” on the Memo line. Mail donations to:
