Board of Directors

Our organization is incorporated and operates under the auspices of the Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal Blase J. Cupich. Our Board works on behalf of Cardinal Cupich to oversee our long-term organizational growth and development. The Board governs strategic planning, operational excellence, and financial oversight to ensure that Catholic Charities’ delivers on its mission with courage, compassion, and accountability. Within our by-laws, our Board may include up to 17 Directors, plus the President and Chief Executive Officer. Members are professional, civic, and church leaders appointed by the Archbishop of Chicago based on their life experience, expertise, and passion for our mission.

The Board includes six working committees, plus an Executive Committee. The working committees include:
