Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle announced last week that the Cook County Justice Advisory Council was awarding Catholic Charities a grant of $250,000 to provide services to pregnant and postpartum women and their young children. Such services include counseling, parenting skills, drug treatment, job placement and medical care.

On September 19, 2019 the south-southwest regional office of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago hosted a forum on human trafficking. With more than 100 guests in attendance, eight organizations spoke about their missions to help victims and educate the public about how and why this type of exploitation is so destructive. The group included:
