Setting the stage to help people in crisis - the 18th Annual Gala of the Arts took place in the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier in Chicago, and featured performing and visual arts. This black-tie optional event has become one of Chicago's premier social events, benefiting Catholic Charities Family Stabilization Efforts. Reservations begin at $275 per ticket, and sponsorships are available. Family Stabilization Efforts

Catholic Charities Family Stabilization Efforts provides basic human
needs. Food is the most requested basic need. Other services include
emergency financial assistance, benefits screening, clothing, emergency
shelter, short-term case management, advocacy, and referrals.

Despite unemployment in Illinois seeing a slight decrease, those who turn
to Catholic Charities for help are still facing a significant roadblock and are
struggling to provide for their families. The majority of jobs that pay family-
supporting wages now require some amount of postsecondary education,
training, or certification. This creates a significant obstacle for our clients who
have less education or work experience.

The program served over one million meals last year through our eight food
pantries and screened over 2,000 people for the Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program. 
Without the assistance provided by Catholic Charities, some of
the most vulnerable people in our area would have nowhere else to turn for
basic human needs.

With each performance, expectations of what is possible in event entertainment are shattered. The All Star group has been hailed as being at the forefront of the next generation of high end entertainers, and the concept has been heralded as revolutionary.

 Art Show

Always a crowd favorite, the Art Show & Sale features original artwork, photographs and giclee productions by 15-17 locally and nationally recognized artists. Commissioned pieces will be available from a number of the artists participating, just inquire!

All of our artists donate a percentage of their art sales to benefit Catholic Charities Family Stabilization Efforts. We would like to express our sincere appreciation for their incredible generosity.

The Gala of the Arts Mandatum Award

The Mandatum Award, given annually at the Gala of the Arts, is the most prestigious honor that Catholic Charities awards each year and celebrates the awardee’s exemplification of Christ’s mandate to serve the poor with compassion and generosity.

The 18th Annual Gala of the Arts will take place on Friday September 6, 2019 at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. The event will feature an exquisite Art Show & Sale, Grand Raffle, and a fantastic live musical performance.

PARKING- NEW in 2019!

Navy Pier parking facilities have transitioned from a flat daily parking rate to hourly tiered parking rates (see below for current rates). In addition, Navy Pier will begin utilizing new equipment that will use proximity and plate-scanning technology to allow for quicker transactions and easier garage ingress and egress.

Please note- with the new parking technology, parking must be paid for at the time of departure using one of the conveniently located pay stations.
Guests may no longer pay upon arrival or during their visit, as the new parking technology will give guests up to 15 minutes to exit the garage once payment is made.

• From the southwest, take the Stevenson Expressway (I-55) to Lake Shore Drive (US 41), north to Illinois Street and proceed east.
