FAMILY STABILIZATION EFFORTS

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago directly supported thousands of families last year by providing emergency financial assistance to cover expenses such as rent, utilities, food, medical costs, and transportation. As our staff help these families meet their immediate needs, we also address problems from a long-term perspective to help prevent their reoccurence in the future. For example, hundreds of families last year attended financial management seminars after having visited our food pantries, learning how to budget for the unexpected and stretch their dollars. In these ways, those that seek our care learn how to overcome such challenges as poverty, poor living conditions and homelessness, unemployment, and limited education.


A few things you should know

    • Every 30 seconds someone turns to Catholic Charities for help.
    • 92¢ of every dollar we raise goes directly to help people in need.
    • It costs $556,000 to run our programs each day.
    • 158 programs at 174 different sites operate on a daily basis at Catholic Charities, many 24 hours a day.

Come out for a day of golf at Cog Hill Golf and Country Club in Lemont and compete with nearly 400 fellow golfers for prizes and bragging rights. This year marks the 22nd Annual Monsignor Michael Boland Golf Invitational!

Dinner, raffles and silent and live auctions follow this one of a kind day, which benefits Catholic Charities Family Stabilization Efforts. Golf starts at $250.
