The Lake County Diaper Depot supports the mission of Catholic Charities by supplementing the supply of clean, disposable diapers for families in need. By collecting diapers and distributing them to these families, we can help mothers avoid making difficult decisions such as cutting back on basic essentials like food, utilities or child care to afford clean diapers. Diaper Depot provides diapers to Catholic Charities programs and also partners with external nonprofit organizations, including the P.A.G.E.S. program of the Lake County Health Department, Arden Shore, PADS Family Center, Open Arms Mission, St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish (Mundelein), St. Mary of Vernon (Indian Creek), One Hope United and Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL). To support the Diaper Depot, please contact Lake County Regional Project Manager Kelsey Weeks at 847-782-4117 or keweeks@catholiccharities.net

Through the Meals on Wheels program, volunteers deliver nutritious, well-balanced meals to homebound seniors age 60 and older who are unable to shop and prepare their own meals. Meals on Wheels for anyone under age 60 are also available for those who need short-term help due to medical reasons. Seniors look forward to the daily visits from friendly volunteers like Tom Zimmer. An additional benefit is a volunteer's watchful eye on the senior and his/her living conditions with the delivery of fresh meals daily. Those recuperating from surgery or other medical issues appreciate the nutritious food to help speed their healing.
