Basic Functions:  

1) Serve as lead on 7-8 assigned annual fund-raising events.  Manage volunteer special event chairs and volunteer committee members which includes meeting with volunteer leadership, attending events and planning session as necessary to successfully execute the event.

2) Establish, meet and exceed fund-raising goals set for the annual signature and program events through focused effort on sponsorships, ticket sales and other revenue generation (i.e. auctions, raffles, donations, wish lists, paddle raise, etc.)

3) Maintain accurate & timely revenue & expense reports for annual fund-raising special events. Monitor monthly revenue & expenses & provide them to the agency. Create an annual business plan budget for assigned events and work with Director of Special Events & Corporate Partnerships to gain approval from senior administration.

4) Work with Special Event Team to evaluate current specials events activities and develop strategies and plans to increase participation and revenue for each assigned event.

5) Conduct prospect research to identify donors with major gift potential.

6) Work with Event Assistant to organize and facilitate meetings associated with Special Events including solicitation mailings, invitations, and acknowledgment letters which are to be sent within 30 days of each event.

7) Work with marketing and communications on all event signage, program books, brochures and event materials.

Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree.  Hands on event planning , budgeting and volunteer coordination; budget and presentation creation experience with strong oral, written and presentations skills; Raiser's Edge experience for input after each event; Ability to utilize Microsoft Suite and BlackBaud & Raiser's Edge

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree.  Strong written and oral communication skills needed. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund-raising and logistics. Proven experience with managing major events
