Responsibilities of intern: Intern will be responsible for facilitating client groups including two mental health groups.  She will provide individual mental health and/or substance abuse counseling to individual clients.  She will be responsible for data entry and paperwork of all the services she provides.

Special Skills required/desired: Spanish Speaking Preferred but NOT required

List a minimum of three learning objectives:

1. Build clinical interviewing skills and learn how to complete clinical documentation for client records.

2. Build Therapeutic Relationship in a short time period.

3. Become familiar with and comfortable with diagnosing individuals.

Please provide a detailed explanation of how the intern will be trained/mentored:

·         Direct training with supervisor

·         Shadowing supervisor, therapists, and other interns

·         Observing assessments and groups

·         Watching therapy individual and/or group therapy via videos

·         Watching instructional videos

·         Reading instructional handouts

·         Team and individual supervision provided

Location where intern will be working: 671 S Lewis Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085

Days/hours available for intern to work: M-F/9-5pm
