Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago (“Catholic Charities,” “we,” or “us”) operates a mobile messaging service (the “Service”) subject to these Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions (the “Mobile Messaging Terms”). The Service and our collection and use of your personal information is also subject to our Privacy Policy. By opting-in to the Program as described below, you accept and agree to these Mobile Messaging Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- Service Description. We may send mobile messages in various formats through the Service, which may include:
- Organization Updates
- Ways to Get Involved
- Fundraising or donation appeals
Message frequency varies, and will typically range from approximately 4 messages per month. Additional messages may be sent based on urgent matters.
We do not charge for the mobile messages sent through the Service, but you are responsible for any message and data rates imposed by your mobile provider, as message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile provider for details on your plan’s rates. We are not responsible for any charges related to the Services.
- User Opt-In: By providing your mobile phone number to us when you donate or otherwise communicate with us, you are voluntarily opting in to the Service and agree to receive mobile messages from Catholic Charities at the mobile phone number associated with your opt-in. You agree that any mobile number you provide to us is a valid mobile phone number of which you are the authorized user. If you change your mobile phone number or are no longer the owner or authorized user of the mobile number, you agree to promptly notify us at [email protected].
- User Opt-Out and Support. You may opt-out of the Service at any time. If you wish to opt-out of the Service and stop receiving mobile messages from us, or you no longer agree to these Mobile Messaging Terms, reply STOP to any text you receive from us. You can also email [email protected] or call (312) 948-6087 to request to opt-out. You may continue to receive mobile messages for a short period while we process your request, and you may receive a one-time opt-out confirmation message. You understand and agree that the foregoing are the only methods of opting out. For support, you can reply HELP to any of our mobile messages or email us at [email protected].
- Disclaimer of Warranty and Liability. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information of Service.
- Modifications. We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features, with or without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Messaging Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such modifications.
