St. Blase Challenge

Feed hungry people in the southwest area now. Your gift for the St. Blase Center may be doubled by a matching grant from Community Memorial Foundation. Help us meet the $20,000 challenge.

St. Leo Veterans Garden Walkway of Honor and Commemorative Tree Program

The St. Leo Veterans Garden is a place of beauty and reflection containing monuments to honor all five branches of the military, benched seating and a tranquil fountain. Surrounding the fountain is the Walkway of Honor which lists our nation's heroes, both fallen and living, in engraved paver bricks. Bricks are available for sale and with the purchase of a brick in the Walkway, you can also order a smaller replica brick for an additional $25. Trees are also available for naming in honor of a loved one.

2011 St. Blase Challenge

Through a generous grant from the Community Memorial Foundation, new donations to the programs at Catholic Charities St. Blase Service Center will be matched up to $20,000. The programs at St. Blase feed 2,500 people each month and are a vital support for the working families of the surrounding area. Families not only get nutritious food, but the money they save can be used for other vital needs like housing and health care. Because this is an donation appeal, not an actual event, there are no tickets available, but we hope that you will help us keep our shelves stocked by donating below.

2012 West Suburban St. Patrick's Day Celebration

Start your St. Patrick's Day celebration early by joining the fun at FitzGerald's, 6615 Roosevelt Road in Berwyn, on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6:30 to 9:30pm. Reservations are $50.00 by March 5th or $60 after March 5th and at the door. Proceeds will benefit Catholic Charities' New Hope Housing Program in the West Region of Cook County. The evening features entertainment by Underwater People, The Shannon Rovers, and the McNulty Irish Dancers. Outstanding hearty Irish fare, beer, wine, and pop. There is a Silent Auction with great items and a fantastic Grand Raffle with prizes including an iMac Computer; 55 HDTV; an iPad2; and a 32 inch HDTV. 2012 SW Helping Hands Dinner & Auction

The Southwest Regional Advisory Board presents the 14th Annual Helping Hands Dinner & Auction on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 6:30pm. The event is being held in a new venue this year, Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park. The event benefits Catholic Charities New Hope Housing Program, assisting the homeless in the Southwest suburbs. Reservations are $70.00 per person if made by April 9th and $80.00 per person if made after April 9th. Reservations can be made by calling Betty Chambers at (708) 430-0428.

2012 Legal Lifelines Reception

The 4th Annual Legal Lifelines Cocktail Reception will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Union League Club of Chicago, 65 W. Jackson in Chicago from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Event proceeds benefit the Catholic Charities Legal Assistance Program which provides free legal advice through a help-line, referrals to legal service providers for specialized needs, assistance from private pro bono attorneys if possible and educational seminars addressing key legal topics. 2012 Hearts for Homeless Families Dinner

The 23rd Annual Hearts for Homeless Families Dinner & Auction returns to the incomparable Sanfilippo Estate on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 5:00 pm. Proceeds from the event benefit the New Hope Apartments Housing Program. Individual reservations are $175.00 and tables of ten are $1650.00. Guests will enjoy what some call "The 8th Wonder of the World", as the estate features world famous collections of antique music, arcade and gambling machines. Premier display items include an 8,000 pipe theater organ, the beautifully restored 1890 European Eden Palais Carousel, and an 1881 Grant Steam Locomotive. Ryan Golf Outing on Thursday, August 9, 2012, beginning at 8:00 a.m. located at both St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago and at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles. Proceeds from this event will benefit a new program created for children and youth who have endured the loss of a loved one to suicide, established at Catholic Charities through the Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide (LOSS) Program and a generous grant we received from the Illinois Children’s Healthcare Foundation that we are committed to matching.
