Harvest of Hope

This holiday season, more families are worrying about where their next meal will come from. That’s why the Archdiocese of Chicago, together with Catholic Charities of Chicago, is launching Harvest of Hope, a united effort to feed those who are hungry throughout Cook and Lake counties.

This partnership will support more than 50 Catholic-operated food pantries that serve thousands of families each week.  Non-perishable food donations may be brought to parishes between November 30 – December 14.

Each parish is assigned specific items to contribute, please consult your parish for more information:

  • Vicariate I and II: Canned chicken, canned tuna, canned salmon, canned soup, canned beef
  • Vicariate III: Canned pears, canned peaches, canned mixed fruit, juice (64 oz.), jelly (plastic jars only)
  • Vicariate IV: Canned corn, canned peas, canned green beans, canned tomatoes, canned collard greens
  • Vicariate V: Pancake mix, oatmeal, cereal, peanut butter, instant grits
  • Vicariate VI: Pasta, dry and canned beans, rice, instant macaroni and cheese

Thank you for your participation in Harvest of Hope! Your kindness ensures our neighbors will find nourishment this holiday season.
