Transitional Housing

We provide intensive support to survivors of domestic violence through two supportive, secure transitional housing residences for women and children.

These safe spaces provide survivors with the opportunity to regain their dignity, rebuild their independence, and work toward a safer, more fulfilling future. 

The House of the Good Shepherd Ministry at Mary’s House (Chicago) and the House of Peace (Lake County) both offer a safe home where survivors can heal, receive counseling, participate in education programs and take part in other wraparound services, all designed to promote long-term independence and sustainability. Services are offered in English and in Spanish.
