Meaningful youth engagement is an inclusive, mutually respectful partnership between youth and adults whereby power is shared, respective contributions are valued, and young people’s ideas, perspectives, skills, and strengths have significance.
Through youth engagement programming, Catholic Charities is coordinating services, opportunities, and supports that young people need to develop to reach their full potential. We believe that authentic youth engagement builds individual leadership skills, strengthens meaningful relationships, and leads to effective solutions in the lives of young people.
